Cade Anthony Marbach was born on June 4, 2019 in Dubuque, Iowa and departed peacefully on
December 11, 2021 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, in Iowa City, Iowa surrounded by his
family.
Cade was loved deeply by family and friends and touched many lives during his short time on earth. He
was content cuddling in the arms of loved ones and always satisfied in a room surrounded by his family.
Cade especially enjoyed his brothers, Bennett and Reilly. Gifted with the most infectious smile and baby
blues, Cade will forever impact the hearts and minds of all who befriended him. The pain we feel today
will likely never heal, and only become tolerable in time, but we will find peace and comfort in knowing
that Cade is now playing with his sister, Raelynn, in a perfect body and no longer hindered by his earthly
confines he carried with such bravery and courage. We will cherish every memory we possess and hope
the joy he knows now is as great as the joy he earned here. We will love and miss our sweet boy until
the end of time.
Those left behind to cherish the memory of Cade include his parents, Tony and Kayla (Vaske) Marbach of
Epworth, Iowa; twin brothers, Bennett and Reilly at home; maternal grandparents, Dean and Julie Vaske
of Manchester, Iowa, paternal grandparents, Jerry and Nancy Marbach of Manchester, Iowa; great
grandparents, Richard and Sharon McCrabb of Manchester, Iowa, Wilma Mensen of Dyersville, Iowa,
and Janet Marbach of Manchester, Iowa; aunts and uncles, Amanda (Justin) Downs of Manchester,
Iowa, Cassie (Mitch) Devlin of Manchester, Iowa, Eric Vaske (Heidi Yonkovic) of Manchester, Iowa, Wes
(Nicole) Marbach of Worthington, Iowa, Matt (Kyleigh) Marbach of Ryan, Iowa; and cousins, Liam, Mila,
Anna, and Jack.
He is greeted in heaven by his sister, Raelynn; great grandparents, Arthur and Loretta Vaske, Dale
Mensen, and Raymond Marbach.
Cade’s family would like to thank his doctors, nurses, and therapists at the University of Iowa Children’s
Hospitals and Clinics; his in-home nurses; and therapists at Unified Therapy and Keystone AEA for all
your generous, gentle, and professional care of our sweet Cade. At such a difficult time in our lives, we
are feeling love and support from every direction. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and may
God bless you for your kindness.
Visitation will be held for Cade from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Reiff
Funeral Home in Epworth, Iowa. Visitation will also be held at 9 a.m., Thursday at Reiff Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in honor of Cade at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2021,
