Ben “Chino” Moreno, 52, of Amarillo died Friday, April 1, 2022. Funeral Service is at 10:00 am Thursday, April 7, at the Rector Funeral Home Osage chapel officiated by Maria Amparo Mendoza. Burial Will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage.
Ben was born in Dimmit on September 3, 1969, to Juan Moreno and San Juana Alvarez. He was a noble, humble, and fun-loving soul. He was very selfless and would help anyone with anything. No job was too big. Family meant the world to him. Ben was very social and would often invite family and friends over for getting together or just as a reason to cookout. He loved to cook and grill out on the BBQ. He met the love of his life, Nora at a Halloween party. They married on January 8, 2018. Ben was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, he loved hard rock and Tejano music. he loved to travel, especially to the casinos, and loved his new jeep.
Ben was preceded in death by his father, and his grandparents, Jose and Celia Alvarez.
He is survived by his mother, his wife, Nora Moreno, his daughter, Allyssa Ventura, and three sisters; Naomi Hernandez and her husband Antonio, Guadalupe Moreno, and her husband Chris Morales, and Delisa Moreno and her husband Mauricio Quintana.
