I didn’t know Alan but I grew up with his wife Karen.

Uncle Alan made time for everyone. Always willing to walk down 50 plus stairs to go fishing with you. One of my fondest memories was spending a week in Grand Marais in the U.P. With Uncle, my dad and Rick. We fished multiple spots (not much luck), ate at local restaurants and bars and stayed up all night long playing euchre and nickle dime poker. We laughed and fished and had so much fun that week that it still today is one on my most fond memories. The time the four of us spent together that week was priceless. A trip Rick and I should duplicate with our sons. Uncle I miss you.
