Zeta LAURIE Obituary
On Friday, May 16, 2025, at Rose Court, Christchurch in her 95th year. Zeta was the beloved best friend, soulmate and wife of John (deceased); dearly loved mother of Nicola, and Julia; much loved grandmother of Jonny and Maryke, Peter and Monica; Michael, Bob and Emily, Rebecca and Luke, Mark and Becky, and great-grandmother of Luka, and Evie and Charlie. With grateful thanks to the management and staff of Rose Court for their many kindnesses and loving support of Zeta over many years. Special thanks to the team at Bell, Lamb and Trotter for their compassion and support. Messages to the Laurie family, c/- PO Box 10345, Christchurch 8145. A family memorial gathering to honour and celebrate Zeta's life will be held on Sunday, May 25, 2025.

Sending my sincere condolences to Nicola, Julia and families in the passing of dear Zeta. Zeta was a highly respected teacher at Middleton Grange School and I appreciated her wisdom and guidance as a colleague and friend. I will always think of Zeta when reading "Cats like to hide in Boxes". Zeta made the very first `Big Book´ for the Junior Department. Many young children starting school have been blessed by having Mrs Laurie as a loving, caring NE teacher. A wonderful legacy ! RIP Zeta.
