Winifred LOACH Obituary

Passed peacefully, aged 88, on March 6, 2025. Beloved wife and partner-in-crime of Colin for 62 years. Dearest mother and mother-in-law of Pauline and Chris, Steve and Debbie. Adored Nan to Evelyn, Natalie, and Caroline. Treasured eldest sister of Richard, Josephine, Irene, Margaret, Gregory, and Brendan and loved Aunt to all their families. Cherished friend to many more who consider her a mum, aunty, and sister. Special thanks to all who supported Win in her final days especially Dr Janine Close, the staff at Anthony Wilding Hospital and Christchurch Hospital. A friend to everyone, Win had a generous heart and mountains of energy right to the end. Messages may be addressed to 'The late Winifred Loach family' C/- PO Box 26051, North Avon, Christchurch 8148. A requiem mass will be held at the Carmelite Monastery, 52 Halswell Road, Christchurch, on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 10.00am. A recital of the rosary will be held at the same location on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 7.00pm .

To Win’s family- so sorry to hear of Win’s passing. Her dedication to her family history was amazing including Colin and Win’s trips back to Ireland to stay where our ancestors lived and still live today. They like us will all miss her stories.
