William WEST Obituary
William Lawrence (Bill):
Passed away peacefully at Christchurch Hospital on May 19, 2023. Dearly loved partner of the late Val Dawson. Loved father of Maree, and Mark. Loved grandad of Roma, and Liam. Loved brother and brother-in-law of Brian, Colin and Lorraine. Loved uncle of Grant, Bruce, and Tania. Bill will be sorely missed by his dancing family. Messages may be addressed to 'The Family of the late Bill West' C/- 19 London Street, Christchurch 8013. A Service to celebrate Bill's life will be held in the Canterbury Crematorium Chapel, corner of Linwood Ave and Keighleys Road, Tomorrow (Thursday), at 10.00am, followed by interment in Ruru Lawn Cemetery.

My condolences to Bill's family at this sad time. I have known Bill through Ballroom dancing for about 10 years. He was always immaculately dressed and we had several conversations over the years. It was wonderful the year that Bill and Val came to Art Deco in Napier with our Ballroom group. I will miss our chats but have many fond memories. It was a privilege to have known Bill and Val. May they both be dancing together again. Rest in Peace.
