MACKENZIE, William Hugh:
Died peacefully at The Croft, Timaru; aged 83 years. Youngest son of the late William and Annabella, brother of Thomas and the late Anne, Roderick, Jean, Helen, Flora, Iseabal, and James. Much loved Dad and father-in-law of Amanda and Alan. Proud Grandad of Helen and loved friend and husband of Marie. Loved brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle to his nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the wonderful caring staff of The Croft and William's close friends Faye and Roy Skelton. A service to celebrate William's life will be held at the Timaru Hospital Chapel, on Thursday, June 16, at 11.30am, followed by interment at the Timaru Public Cemetery.
"I've mustered from Southland, through Central and North,
In that rough barren country of tussock and gorse.
And I've listened to songs that the old shearers tell,
And passed them along with me own tales as well."
