KELLAHAN,
William J.R. (John):
Dead just now, at Christchurch ICU on May 26, 2022, in an unfair fight after 76 years. Seen lately out of Kimbell, but has taken his wagon all over the high country where he was known to chase fast trout and to hold men up at talking point. Loved father to Hamish, Richard and Glenda. Loved grandfather to William, Isabella, Neve, and George. Loved younger son of the late Bill and Jessie Kellahan. Loved brother to Alec and Anita. Loved uncle to Andrew; Megan and Tony; James, Daniel and Amy. Former husband of Jenny Lewis and former brother-in- law to Edwin, the late Kathleen, and Noel Lewis. We all express our gratitude to acknowledge the skills of the Ambulance crew, Timaru's ER and ICU staff, the Chopper crew and Christchurch's ICU staff, all of whom did superb work. The Funeral Service for John will be held in the Geraldine Funeral Services Chapel, on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 11.00am.
Has left the wagon to put in one last track up-country.

With deepest sympathy to Hamish Richard Glenda Alec and Anita. It´s so unfair I can hardly believe he´s not here with us. I am going to miss him heaps, his ongoing help and his almost daily phone calls and our many lengthy conversations, our family history, government and much more. RIP John.
