William "Bill" HALL

William HALL Obituary

(Dad, Grandad, Mr Hall, Uncle Bill, 'The Dude'), passed away with family by his side, Monday, October 21, 2024, aged 76. Beloved husband of the late Susan, treasured dad and father-in-law of Will and Sarah, Sarah and Brett, Jenny and Ross. Adored grandad of Issac, Jack, Sophie, Benjamin, Freddie, Danielle, Jed and Emily. Dearly loved brother of Philip and Lynda. Celebrated teacher at St Andrew's College and St Bede's College. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Hato Hone St John is appreciated (we thank first responders). A celebration of Bill's life will be held at St Andrew's College Centennial Chapel, 347 Papanui Road, Sunday, November 3, 2.00pm.

Sending my deepest sympathies to Bill's family on the sudden death of a loved father, grandfather and friend.
I worked with Bill at St Bede's College - he always had the very best interests of the boys at heart as he tried to guide them into apprenticeship pathways through his connections outside of school. Bill was kind and generous with his time and I always appreciated the bottle of wine he gave to me at Christmas time - as he would say for "covering for me" during the school year!!

We were colleagues for some 15 years in Commerce Department at Stac. They were good times, harmonious, respectful and with laughter. I will always have positive memories of our working relationship. Thankyou Bill. RIP.

I love you Dad. I thank you for everything and especially how present you were in my children's life after Mum passed away. I'll miss hearing you bellow "Jen!" down the phone when I'd call. Every time I have a glass of our favourite bubbly it'll be in your memory.
