William Goceljak Obituary

William 'Bill' Bernard Goceljak, 81 of Vernon, NJ passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 1, 2023.
He was the son of the late Steven and Elizabeth (Machovsky) Goceljak of Clifton, NJ.
Bill graduated from the Newark College of Engineering in 1964 and worked as a civil engineer for the State of New Jersey.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. While stationed in Michigan, he met and married his love and wife of over 52 years, Mary McNall of Jackson, Michigan. They took up residence in Vernon, New Jersey, where they raised their family.
Bill enjoyed spending time with family and friends and never shied away from a good time. Some of his favorite things to do were visiting the family camp in the Catskills, deep-sea fishing off the Jersey Shore and gambling in Atlantic City ("My second home" He especially loved to spend time with his two grandchildren, Isabella and Lilianna.
He is survived by his wife Mary; his sister Elizabeth Goceljak of Clifton, NJ, his sons Andrew of New Orleans, LA, and Dan (Vicki) of Long Valley, NJ, his daughter Ann (Paul) Como of Dingmans Ferry, and granddaughters Isabella and Lilianna.
He was predeceased by his parents, Steven and Elizabeth (Machovsky) Goceljak of Clifton, NJ, his brothers Stephen, John and Eugene, and sister, Sister Marcelline of the School Sisters of St. Francis.
A visitation for Bill will be held on Tuesday, February 7th, 2023, from 9-11AM at the Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, (One Vanderhoof Court for GPS), 241 Route 94, Vernon, NJ 07462. A Funeral Mass will follow at the St. Jude the Apostle RC Church in Hamburg at 12 noon.

Mr. Bill. Your pancakes were the best ever Svs you were very generous with them. I remember you showing you raceway off to me. It went 120 mph, walks in the woods with Sally, and playing soccer in the front yard with you.
