William John (Jack):
Peacefully at Terrace View Rest Home, Ashburton, on Sunday, June 11, 2023, surrounded by family, in his 99th year. Dearly loved husband of the late Margaret. Much loved father and father-in-law of John and Helen, and Elizabeth and Craig Smith. Loved Grandad of Peter, Jessica, Laurabeth and Allan; Joshua and Anna, Daniel, Priscilla and Bradley, Michael, and Ruth and Cody, and great-granddad of Astrid. A service to celebrate Jack's life will be held at the Ashburton RSA, 12 Cox Street, Ashburton, on Friday, June 16, 2023, commencing at 11.00am, followed by interment at Ashburton Seafield Cemetery.

My deepest sympathy to you all on the sad loss of Jack. He was a good hard working man..a gentleman. His wife Margaret was a lovely woman to. He will be greatly missed. I remember him well as he did contracting work for my father on our farm near Dromore. Dave & Margaret Scarth. He's now having a well earned rest.
