William "Bill" CUMMING

William CUMMING Obituary

Passed away peacefully at home in Westport, on Monday, August 11, 2025. Aged 88 years. Loved husband of the late Frances, loved father and father-in-law of Leanne and Sean, Aaron and Cherie, and Rebecca and Ray, cherished Pops of Vee and Will, Jordon, Tyler and Kylie, Mikaela, Finn, and Addison. A Funeral Service celebrating Bill's life will be held at Union Church in Westport, on Thursday, August 14, at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation. A livestream is available, and tributes may be left at www.hagedorns.co.nz/tributes. Messages may be sent to 15 Haselden St, Westport 7825. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Westport RSA Highland Pipe Band are appreciated and may be made at the service.

To all Bill's family, our deepest condolences go out to you all, on the sad loss of your precious Bill, my connection is that Bill's brother Alec was my Uncle and I have known Bill for a long time through his time with NZR and in more recent years we would meet him on Anzac days in Reefton with the Pipe Band, and at 45's tournaments. Bill was a real gentleman and will be greatly missed right across the community. Once again deepest condolences RIP Bill. Colin & Bronwen Skates
