My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family.I met Bill through his singing and enjoyed his company in the choir.
I fondly remember sitting in his home in Harrison Street and reminiscing stories of his school days , days at Lincoln College , Dunedin's Teachers college.
He could tell a great story and had such a great recall.
He is missed in the Men´s choir and we will miss singing to him each Christmas.
Personally I play music at Millstream once a month and until recently he would either join in singing or on occasions Pat and him danced so wonderfully.
Sadly missed, but great memories.

Bill was one of the special people in my life... and all he did for me,when as a new teacher I came to Methven, has lived with me since 1975. He was a treasure and such a wise man. Sorry not to be with you all at this time..a big hug to you Pat and all the wider family. Chris and I are up at the Sounds and I am sorry not to be able to get down for his farewell. I shall share a glass of whiskey with you on Monday, as in the old days of 4th Form Camps in the local back country. All my love, Lyn W
