William Herbert James (Bert):
Peacefully, on May 18, 2023, at Yvette Williams Retirement Village; in his 82nd year. Loved and loving husband of Carol, loved father and father-in-law of Tracey and Grant, David and Jackie, Paul and Matt, grandad of Rebecca and Jason, Anthony, Holly and Ciaran; Tamara and Mitchell, Corbyn and Chelsea, Brenna and Chris, great-grandfather of Brayden, Lucas, and Chloe; Lailah, Nixon, and Harper; Addisyn; and Gracie May. Special thanks to the caregivers and staff of the special care unit at Yvette Williams for the care and support that they have shown to Bert and family over the past two years. A service for Bert will be held in Hope and Sons Chapel, 523 Andersons Bay Road, at 2.00pm on Tuesday, May 23, followed by private cremation. Messages to 1 Dundee Road, Mosgiel 9024 or by visiting Bert's page at www.tributes.co.nz where the live stream of the service may also be viewed.
