On August 20, 2023. Dearly loved husband of Riet (dec 2015) and very much loved father and father-in-law of Odette and Doug (dec), Janneke (dec) and Richard, Paul and Heather, Wilma and Kelvin, Johnny and Sue, Luke and Deirdre. Treasured Opa of Anneke, Safia, Malaika and Chloe (dec), Paris and Georgina (dec), Ben, Simon, Laura and Emily; Leon, Matthew, Bianca; Renee and Louis; Hannah, Sophie, Claudia, Helena, Isaac and Eloise. Adored great-Opa of Adeline, Alfred and Digby; Theodore, Isabella and Lucia; Francesca, Luca and Nico; Maria, Frances; Nadia; Fleur and Noah. He will be very much missed by so many, especially his loyal friends and his family of whom he was very proud. Special thanks to the nurses and medical staff in the surgical ward at Wairau Hospital and to all the carers at Springlands Lifestyle Village who he appreciated and loved so much.
