I will remember your laugh, and radiant smile, the special relationship you had with Sherry, and the story you told me of an adventure driving with Tony, in his jalopy, through the quarry of Benmore dam construction site in Otematata.

The music LPs given as presents now hold special memories.

And I will never forget your hosting my 21st birthday party.

You took after Mum, and could cook up the most delicious meals, and be the hostess with the mostess.

Your love of animals, especially your gorgeous doggos, was exceeded only by your love of family, and especially evident when you became Nana Wendy.

You came into your own, and shone with pride and joy, watching your granddaughters, neices and nephews grow.

I will miss you dearly.

Aunty Wendy was a very giving and loving person. Not only did she volunteer her time to her community she was also a dependable and loving person to the family. The last time I spent with her was at Balmoral beach and enjoying a picnic lunch and it was a great day and I´ll never forget her cuddling me and telling how proud she was of my family. Wendy was always there for my mum especially when I could not be. She was pretty stern sometimes but that didn´t stop her love from coming through with a big cuddle. Dear Tracey, Meagan and the the girls. I know you feel loss but the memories you will never leave you and Nana Wendy´s mana will always be with you and guide you especially when you are at your lowest. That´s when Nana Wendy´s mana and words will come to you. Wendy and I both shared a great love for her parents Eddie and Joyce but especially for my Grandfather, her father Eddie Byron who was and still is a true hero. Now you will get to hug him and Harry for me. I made a family crest as a legacy to the Byron family whom I´m a part of in dedication to my wonderful Aunty Wendy Byron.
