Warren INWOOD Obituary

So sad to hear that Warren had passed away. Almost a lifetime spent in Inangahua. A kind thoughtful man with much wisdom. I used to enjoy letting him know how the hut was after a trip there. I will recall the memories of Warren forever.

I was very sad to hear of Warren passing away. He and Roy were a great influence on my Dad. He was held in high regard and will be sorely missed.

Warren has been a wonderful friend. I met him 8 years ago over coffee and we have had shared many coffees and conversations since. Many in the village came to appreciate his openness and acceptance and wisdom and recounts. When I had a challenging time in my life, the rhythm of daily connection and conversation with Warren was literally the highlight of my day, and played a big part in my healing journey, and I feel deeply grateful for his friendship. To Ruth, I am so sorry you have to say goodbye to your best friend. You chose a good one. To all of Warren's decendants, who carry his traits... you are blessed, for our Warren is a wonderful human. Deep condolences to all the whanau.

I first met Warren while learning the ropes for trapping at Wangapeka to save the Whio (Blue duck). I was impressed with Warren's dedication and commitment to this wonderful cause. He was always great company and shared his life lesson wisdom willingly. He will sorely be missed.

I will miss you Warren. I'll never forget my school holidays out on the farm. They were the best. They hold a special place in my lifelong memories. Thinking of you Ruth, Rebecca and Kane at this difficult time.
