Warner COLLINS Obituary

On May 14, 2024, peacefully at Ngaio Marsh Hospital, aged 84 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Bev, much loved father and father-in-law of Sharyn and Chris, and Andrew and the late Jo, treasured grandfather of Jessica, Jonte, Bree, and Tyler, and great-grandfather of Coleson. Special thanks to the staff at Nurse Maude Hospice and Ngaio Marsh Hospital for the outstanding care given to Warner. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Warner Collins, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated, and may be made directly online at: cancer.org.nz. The funeral service for Warner will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Tuesday May 21, at 2.00pm, followed by a private cremation.

Bev I am writing to say how sorry Warner's classmates of St Andrews College are to learn of his death. We were looking forward to having you both at our 70th class reunion in October. Warner was very much enjoyed by us all. He was at the college for 13 years as I was, so I knew him well. We were very serious about making Warner's acquaintance again after decades of no contact as our careers took us different ways.
Warner will be remembered by us later this year and mentioned in the next email newsletter. Best wishes from his fifty class-mates. I am writing this from my home in Hawkes Bay.
