Earlier today

Jim and I send heartfelt sympathy from Canada to Harry and Fleur. We were blessed to visit them a few times and get to know Ginna when we visited the McCubbin Howell family (our extended family). She was so strong, elegant, curious, welcoming - I know many people will miss her deeply.

Harry and Fleur,
How lucky we were to celebrate Ginna´s birthdays with you most February holidays when you came to the Top of the South. Always fun. Ginna achieved more in her life than most of us dream of with her intelligence, gentle humour and quiet understanding.
We are deeply sad. You are much in our thoughts.
Love Christina and Nick Ashby

A special lady, who I was lucky to have been around as a school girl, helping in Gina´s wonderful `before time´ companion vege garden. Loved also watching her swimming in the local Hawarden Swimming Pool, biking down, swim then bike home.

So sorry to read this sad news. I always enjoyed reading Virginia´s very entertaining columns in NZ `House & Garden´ magazine.
Also saw her @ various A& P shows over the years.
A very vibrant, lovely country lady.
Much sympathy extended to all the family.

It has been a wonderful pleasure to meet you Virginia and travel the Path Cave Creek has taken us on. You Harry and Fleur have been amazing, keeping all cave Creek Families informed and able to cope with all the grief while you were grieving also! It has been such a pleasure knowing you.
Rest in Peace .

Our sincere sympathies to you, Harry and Fleur. Ginna always had such vitality and had so many talents. You will miss her dearly.
We remember so many happy times with your family, including all the croquet games at Tommy's cabin and the lengths Ginna would go to make every celebration so special.
There was of course the Hawarden PTA which was a fond memory of Alan's - the School Fair, Show catering and of course the "potato in the bucket" competition. Not to mention the drinks behind the concrete wall of the tennis court after the Show!
So many great memories of a life well lived but sadly cut short.

As my older cousin,I always looked up to Gina and enjoyed her warmth, intelligence and humour especially her slightly self deprecating chuckle after telling a story ... this was unchanging throughout her life ... Also she was a truly outstanding niece to both my parents and gave them both so much support and love especially in the many years I lived abroad for which I am truly forever grateful ... a very special person of whom I only have very special memories....
