Virginia McCARTHY Obituary

Passed peacefully in Christchurch Hospital on March 14, 2025, aged 80 years after a brief illness, following a longer and brave health battle. Only daughter of the late William and Margaret Newenham. Sister of Steven (Auckland) and the late Richard. Much loved and admired mother and mother-in-law of John, Scott and Secil, Daniel and Nicholas. Loved "Babanne" of Thomas and Daniel McCarthy, and loved and respected former wife of David. Long time staff member of St Thomas of Canterbury College. In accordance with Virginia's wishes a private cremation has been held.
