I am Geoff Pearces younger sister and we both knew the family at Long Beach. We held them in high regard and our Mother, Eileen was still in contact with one of the girls, prior to Mum's passing. I know she held the association very dear, as we did ( our earliest memories in my case) of that time. A lovely lady and so hardworking, the women of those time. Condolences to the family.

I can remember Doreen and the Boyce family when they lived on the Long Beach estate and were neighbours and friends. To get to their plkace from ours, you needed to go through the chook enclosure. There was always a rooster on patrol. I was very young and somewhat intimidated by it. When we both moved off the estate, we lived in Tinwald and the Boyce's were on a farm somewhere and we did visit them a couple of times. I remember Doreen as being an open warm hearted woman. RIP and condolences tom the family.
