Hi Kingsley and family . . . we still have many good memories of our visit to NZ in 2009. Vernon gave us a wonderful tour around your area and introduced us to so many of my cousins . . . some great exchanges of family stories as I was compiling our Clark Family Tree and accounts of the family's emigration from a small corner of England. Dear Kingsley and the Clark family,
I am sorry I will not be able to attend Vern's funeral but I wish to pass my condolences on to a loved father, father in law and grandfather.
Vern lectured me at Lincoln on Animal production, he was an excellent lecturer, clear and concise.
May he rest in peace

Vern was a lovely neighbour for 18 months in Lincoln. At that time we had moved to Lincoln to study and I was working at the university. Unfortunately, my marriage ended and I was left raising two small daughters. Vern was kind, provided insight and wisdom and shared so much of his interesting life. We kept in touch for a long time, that is now 20 years ago. I was just thinking about Vern this morning and was saddened to read of his very recent passing. He spoke of his family and grandchildren (great) with such fondness and love. I am very sorry for your loss, you are in my thoughts. Thank you Vern for your friendship. Rest in Peace a very full life well lived and shared. Jill Pickering, Blenheim.

Dear Kingsley and family
So sad to read of your late Dads passing. Yet another long term identity of Lincoln and willing contributor to the community has departed. I left Lincoln from the then family home in North Belt as an 18 year old in September 1971 and still have fond memories of both your late Dad and Mum.
Regards Wayne Ford ex Lincoln
