THRELKELD. - Verner William. 13.07.1918 - 17.01.2013 Died peacefully at St George's Hospital, Kew. Our thanks to the staff of the GEM Ward for their magnificent care. Beloved and loving husband of Mary (dec.). Loved father, father-in-law and adored Pa of: Maria and Tony (Radford), Chris and Robyn, Rebecca, Anita, Tim, Milly and Will (Walker). Gareth and Leigh and Imogen Mary. Guinever and James (Sloan), Isobel, Anna and Evie. Brother of Joy (dec.). Fondly remembered by the extended Sweatman, Cunningham and Radford families, whose lives have been enriched by his presence. A man for all seasons

So sad to hear of Dr Threlkeld's passing. He was my Dr until he retired, he brought me into the world 61 years ago. My mother was Marion Wells who lived in St Arnaud and when she married and moved to Melb they lived at Ringwood so we went to Verner at Mitcham, he was a wonderful family dr, and a lovely man. Mum knew Mary and her sister (who married Dr. Twiddy) of course in St Arnaud, so she knew the Cunningham family quite well. My thoughts and condolences go out to the family.
