Valmai O'CALLAGHAN Obituary
13.1.1932 - 28.3.2026
Val died at age 94, peacefully, surrounded by family at Burwood Hospital, Christchurch, on March 28, 2026 after a brief illness. Loving Mum of Lawrence and Ali, Andrea and Joachim, and the Late Sheryl; and much loved Nana, Grandma and GrandVal to her many grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren. Valmai has been privately cremated as per her wishes and a service to celebrate her life is being held at the Function Room, Crate and Barrel Hotel, Leeston, at 11.00am on Friday, April 17. Refreshments to follow the service. Many thanks to the Team at Burwood and Christchurch Hospitals for their fantastic care of Val in her last days, and to all her many friends in Leeston and surrounds for their kindness and support over the years.
