Valerie POULTNEY Obituary

On Friday, December 12, 2025, passed away unexpectedly at home, aged 83 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Elvin (Joe). Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Steven and Sue, Tina and the late Sonny, Nicola and Dean, Sherrie and Vic, Rachel and Darren, Janine and Adam, and Corrine and Kelly. Treasured grandmother of her 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, with another little one on the way. The funeral service for Valerie will be held at Weedons Cemetery, 179 Weedons Ross Road, Weedons, on Friday, December 19, at 1:00pm.

Sad to learn that Valerie has passed away. We meet at primary school, nth new brighton, class mates right through. Lost touch during high school as we moved to papanui. Meet up years later at halswell pony club and lost touch again. Many years later meet up in Rolleston, caught up for coffee many times. My condolences to her family.RIP Val xx

Deepest condolences to all the family. I was in shock when Tina messaged me
I will never forget Val . Joe and she were my neighbours in Rolleston. Am forever grateful for the kindness and love they gave my family and I. Myself particularly during the big earthquake of 2010.
They took care of me and let me stay with them
I will always cherish seeing Val only in September whilst she was in Brisbane.
You will be dearly missed but never forgotten, Val . Give Joe a big hug from us all
