Valerie was a great friend of Bishop Julius Hall and an active member of the Halls Alumni. In the early days of the Hall at ten Cranmer Square women resided in the Hall longer than todays students . The women were very community minded and shared their triumphs through their close networking throughout their lives. Thank you Valerie for your support throughout the years .

Valerie was my art history teacher when I was in the 6th form at Christchurch Girls’ High in 1969. I learnt so much from her and am grateful for those memories.
