Lorraine Hale Obituary

Lorraine Flynn Hale. Age 81 of Somerset, passed away on Friday, November 21,2025 at Fair Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation at Jamestown, KY.  Lorraine was born on August 23, 1944 at Amherst, OH, the daughter of James Chris Flynn and Vada Casada Flynn.  She worked as a bookkeeper with her last employment being Bluegrass Oakwood.  She was married to Glen Hale on July 15,1967 at Jellico,TN, and they shared life for 57 years prior to his passing in 2024.  Lorraine was a lady with style and class and she displayed strength and independence.  She enjoyed spending time on the pontoon at the lake with family, she enjoyed yard sales and thrift stores….   She was a collector of sorts.

Lorraine is survived by her grandson, Leighton Coffey of Owensboro; one sister, Zellene Large of Eubank; and many nieces and nephews and extended family members who mourn her passing.

In addition to her parents, James and Vada Flynn; and her husband, Glen Hale; Lorraine was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Ann Hale; and her siblings, James Hayden Flynn, Credia Herman, Foley Flynn, Jason Flynn, Betty Hammond, Beulah Collins, Juanita Pickett, Dorothy Flynn and Lucille Royster.

Visitation for Lorraine will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home, 1046 West Hwy 80, Somerset, KY.  Her funeral service will follow on November 24th at 1:00 pm at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Clark officiating.  Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, 4790 West Hwy 80, Somerset, KY  42503.
