Valentine George (Val):
35027 NZ Army R.N.Z.A.C Staff Sergeant. On September 7, 2015, at Anthony Wilding Retirement Village after a lengthy illness; aged 86 years. Husband of the late Frances (Frankie), father of Anthony and Sally (Christchurch), and Janet (Gold Coast), grandad of Ben, Adam, Ryan (Melbourne), and Amy (Auckland), great-grandad of Mikaela, brother of the late Norma, son of the late Frank Lord and Irene Henderson. Special thanks to the staff at Anthony Wilding, and the pragmatic and professional care of Dr. Luff, Acute Medical Assessment Unit, and Dr. Marr. A soldier, husband, father, grand-father, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle. Now at rest and gone to mess about on some tanks and APCs.
