Uti ZORLU Obituary
29.3.1944 - 21.12.2025
81 years old.
It is with much sorrow and sadness that we are letting all her friends know that Uti left us on Sunday. Uti was a loving wife to Mehmet, and an amazing Mum to Akay and Tanya. She leaves us with a hole in our hearts that cannot be filled. Mum died suddenly in her garden, her most beloved place. Every inch of her garden has been graced by her touch. Mum was unstoppable force of nature. She was a quirky, loud and eccentric character filling her spaces with pure joy. She was passionate about living life to the fullest and making everyone around her feel valued and special, including all her animal friends, past and present. Mum has joined Herman, Rex, Bob and Fritz. Ruby, Ralph and Ziggy are going to miss her terribly. We are having a private cremation for Mum. At a later date we will hold a 'Celebration of Uti's Life' in the garden she created from nothing. All who knew her are welcome to attend. Please in lieu of flowers, a donation to Dogwatch would make mum's love of all animals very happy. Messages can be sent to Tanya via [email protected]

So sad to hear of Uti's passing. I have fond memories of working with her at Halswell School. She was an amazing creative person with great stories. I loved what she created out at Little River where she was so happy. My condolences to her family who she loved dearly.
