VAN DONGEN, Truus (nee Moot) - On January 26, 2013, surrounded by her family at Christchurch Hospital; in her 90th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Pieter Johannes (Jan), cherished mother of Yvonne, and Annette, mother-in-law of Paul Fitzpatrick. Loved Oma of Greta, Thomas, and George. Dearly loved sister and sister-in-law of the late Jan and Pat Moot, the late Cor and Rie Moot, the late Nico and Wil, Aty and Martin Monteba, Bep and Thies (deceased) Wolt, Riet and Koos (deceased) Drop (Holland), Herman and Anne Moot, Piet and Maryanne Moot (Holland), Bert (deceased) and Yopie (deceased) Moot, Ans and Henk Bosma, Gerard and Kathy Moot, Rob and Hennie Moot, and their families.
"Darling Mum, you were always there for us. Such a strong, honest woman, we'll miss you terribly."
Truus will be at home from 1.00 p.m., Tuesday for friends and family to say their farewells. Messages to the van Dongen family, c/- PO Box 111-01, Christchurch 8443. In lieu of flowers, donations to Operation India, 'The Morrison Memorial Childrens Home – West Bengal' which is a charitable organization that has a strong family link, would be appreciated and may be made at the service. The Funeral service to celebrate Truus' life will be held in St James Presbyterian Church, corner of Barrington and Bewdley Streets, Tomorrow (Wednesday) at 1.00 p.m.
