I had the privilege of knowing Trevor through Scouts. He was our Scout master at Tai Tapu. Known to us as "Skip". I was part of the Scout guard of honor at their wedding. Trevor took us on numerous camp trips. He was so generous with his time and always made his time with us so much fun. He taught us heaps and was a wonderful mentor for us.
I have only just heard of his passing but wondered if he was Phil's Dad. There could was a strong likeness when I saw Phil's pictures on the news.
He was a really great guy and will be sadly missed all his family, friends and colleagues.
I would love to contact family to pass on more memories.

Always had a smile and true gentleman. In high pressure stakes of tv production never saw him raise his voice. Saw him pioneer a number of pioneering activities in the field of tv production. One memory I have is Trevor sitting on a wooden box in CR1 when it was first commissioned, he was operating the presentation vision mixer, saying, "they forgot to buy some chairs!"

I worked with Trevor at CHTV3 and he was always a gentleman. Not only that but he was a genuine craftsman at lighting and being a Technical Producer. I can't ever recall him raising his voice, but do remember that he always wore a suit to work and was intense in his desire to be his creative best. I'm so pleased to know that he lived to see the return of his son. Wish I could be there, but can't be so, but will be there in thought. Farewell, gentle Trevor.

Great person. Taught me all knew at TV. Never once saw him lose his cool. So happy he got his son returned before his death.
