Died peacefully in his sleep on October 26, 2025, just days after his 90th birthday. Loved father and father-in-law of Michelle and Mike, Geoff and Sandy, and Scott and Kerri. Loved grandfather of Peter, Kate and Liam; Erika, Anneke and Natasha; and Claire and Laura. Great-grandad of four. Back in the arms of his beloved wife Carolyn.

A private cremation has been held. There will be a Memorial Service for Tony at the Rangiora RSA, 82 Victoria Street, on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at 12.30pm.
