One of the nicest people you would ever meet. I met Tom originally at Display Arts in Durham Street, where he was a signwriter.
I remember one particular shooting and fishing trip to Lake Brunner, where we were all crammed into Bob Smith´s tiny Morris van, debating everything from religion and guns to Tom´s dislike of those feral pesky possums.
He was so much fun to be around. As a man of faith and a non-drinker, he was often the sole voice of reason after too many beers. He was a good man, and I´m sure he will be missed terribly.

Paul & Alison Blandford we knew Tom from the Kaiapoi Country Music Club. Tom was always smiling and happy. He was such a nice person and happy to help anyone. We missed him on our last Club night it just wasn't the same without his happy nature and smiling face.
We are so very sad to have lost Tom and we are also so sorry for his wife and family who have lost a very happy smiley Tom.

Uncle Tom, your passing makes me very sad which is weird because everytime I saw you your smile would light up the room. You were always a bubbly, kind and friendly guy who would do anything for anyone. Now you are smiling down on us from heaven. Rest I peace. It is with great sadness I write these words. To Thysie and family and friends of Tom. I had seen very little of Tom over the last few years but had thought of him regularly. Alway good to see and talk to him. Will always be thankful for him being my best man at my wedding many, many years ago. May you rest in peace TOM. Yours sincerely Les and Judith Overend.

My condolences to Thysje and all Tom's family.
Tom was such a lovely person and Screen Sign Arts was fortunate to have him as one of the crew in the sign shop. A trip from the screen printing to the sign shop you were always greeted with a welcome smile and jovial chat from Tom. A lovely man and a pleasure to have known him.
Rest in peace Tom.
