Timothy O'BRIEN Obituary

Very dearly loved and precious son and brother to parents Elizabeth and (the late) Terence O'Brien and siblings John, Georgia and Daniel. Affectionate uncle to Josephine, Stephanie, James and Leo. A principled proponent of a free open internet which respects users' privacy, Tim was a talented open source programmer of 25+ years - authoring and contributing to 35 open source repositories especially in the golang language for which he was globally recognised.
A kind and gentle soul. He will be missed so much.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated and can be made to the SPCA online at www.spca.nz Messages to the O'Brien family may be left in Tim's tribute book at www.tributes.co.nz or posted c/- PO Box 7123, Newtown, Wellington 6242. A private family service will be held for Tim.
