Our dear beloved boss, from JonJon bakeries. Also known as our grandad to all those from past to present. A very strong healthy man, with a warm heart, a congagious smile, funny and some dry jokes, had always brighten our morning with his smile and greeted with a lovely morning welcome. As much as little we didnt know he was sick but we know now hes resting well , and is definately still doing his afternoon daily routen (swimming) up there in heaven. Very emotional news to recieve and even worse some of us cannot join you Magret, Duncan and Simon along with the extended familes and friends to send you off, we will always love you our grandad.
Poem for Tony
A wise man who was always happy and always walked in with a smile,
Sometimes tries to tell us a story to make us feel worthwhile.
He didnt say much words to us when we were lacking and laughing out loud,
because he knew we would workhard and fast to keep them kisses from falling off that belt.
Tony would always help us out from loading packets to making boxes,
He even tried to pipe cream on a kiss but was under seige from how he topped it.
Memories have been made from all past to present staff,
The good, bad and the ugly scenes of us your staff will be built to last.
So go on grandad Tony be at peace and rest well,
for we your JonJon family, children and friends will live to smile and tell,
You have left us behind to carry on each day and only memories we will say,
The best part in our lives was waking up to go to work was having Tony our boss each day.
We will miss your presence your smile and your stories,
Fly high to heaven our dear friend,
Youre time here was surely a blast,
your memories will be made to last.
Love forever your JonJon day one family (Old school)

The stoic philosopher and Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius once said:

"Accept the things to which fate binds you and love the people with whom fate brings you together".

Tony possibly didn´t know this quote, but what I saw of his life seemed to be guided by this wisdom.
While I have known him, he never railed against his fate, complained or resisted his circumstances or expected perfection. He never tried to change people by nagging and criticising them.
Instead, he just accepted the raw materials he was given by the universe and took it from there.

I think this acceptance of whatever or whoever came along was one of Tony´s superpowers as a human being. His easy way of not forcing things, not over thinking, simply taking one step at the time without worrying too much made him a great person to be around.
Acceptance and gratitude helped to fill his life with the many wonderful things he so enjoyed: Family and many friends who loved him. Fun and laughter always, a successful businesses, various adventures and dancing into the bargain.

Congratulations for a life well lived. It was fantastic to have you around.
