Thomas DURKIN Obituary

Passed away peacefully at his home, Westport, on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. In his 94th year. Treasured husband of Marion for 65 years, adored father and father-in-law of Matt and Lisa, John, Lucie and Paul, Mark and Deb, Paul and Mel, Lizzie and Chris, and Julianne, loving grandad of Kate and Tom Durkin, Joseph, Ambrose and Bede Durkin-Gorman, Conner Durkin-Moore and Rose, Sophie Durkin, Feya, Tessa and Max Durkin, Ben, Sarah and Rosie Meyer and their partners and friends, brother and brother-in-law of the late Miriam and Paul Sullivan, the late Terry Durkin and Sylvia Durkin, and Margaret and the late John Kelly, loved uncle and cousin to the Ahern, Kelly and Sullivan Families, and a friend to many.

A Requiem Mass for Tom will be celebrated at St Canice's Catholic Church, Brougham St, Westport, on Saturday, October 5, at 11.00am, followed by interment at the Orowaiti Cemetery. Recitation of the Rosary at the Church on Friday, at 5.00pm. Messages may be sent C/- PO Box 483, Westport 7866.
