I am very sad to hear of Tom's passing. I found out through the TROGS (The Real Outdoors Group) Facebook page. We were fellow Trogs while we were at Brunel together. He was the one that invited me to join. I remember he was a smiley type of guy and an easy person to be around. It was good knowing him.

We were devastated to hear the news that Tom has passed away last week. Our love to Lindsey and Ashleigh, who I'm sure gave so him much Joy. I remember his easy going nature and his keenness to share and teach his love of Kayaking - I was a fellow kayaker from TROGs (The Real Outdoor Group) at Brunel University.
Rest In Peace Tom.

To Lindsey, Ashleigh, Chris, John and family. I want to let you know that Tom has touched my family over many years and enriched my teenagers sense of adventure and love of our NZ wilderness. He taught by example how to keep on giving and giving. The world has lost a real gem, but he leaves behind all that he has added to others lives. I can't take away your pain but wanted to send you some words of love and comfort, in my gratitude for an extraordinary person who touched our lives.

Dear Lindsey,Chris,John and Adam
Such sad sad news about Tom.
I remember him as a polite and friendly boy, with his love of walking and the ten tors and the fun he Thomas Holly and Will had in the sea scouts.
My thoughts are with you all.

Hello Lindsey, John and Chris
I learnt today of Tom's death. I wanted to let you know how terribly saddened I was to learn this news.
My son Thomas and Tom were really good friends with their common bond of walking and the Ten Tors expeditions. I have many memories of driving the boys from one end of Dartmoor to the other to support their walking plans.
I did not know Tom as an adult but know what a great lad he was as a teenager and am sure he grew up as lovely husband and father.
Do please share my condolences with John, Chris and Adam.

Tom was one of the first people I called on the phone and skype when we decided to move to NZ. He was also the first local to come see my family at the airport when we arrived. Tom went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of during our initial stay. You were a kind man that left us far too soon. I wish I could have spent more time getting to know you better.
