Sister Therese Rosalene Rosalene RNDM HOBAN

Therese HOBAN Obituary

Rose passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of Sisters and family at Nazareth House, Christchurch at 8.00pm on Saturday September 13, 2025. Rosalene was the beloved second daughter of the late William and Margaret Hoban. She was the treasured sister, sister-in-law, aunt and great-aunt of Sister Margaret (formerly Sister Peter Chanel), Philomena Sister Aroha (Missionary of Charity, Sri Lanka), Patrick and Judith Hoban, Victoria Hoban, Katherine, Quintin and Lorna Boyd, James, Maria, Alice and William Hoban. Her family wish to acknowledge all who cared for Rose and supported her and her family, in recent times, particularly the Mission Sisters, Helen, Geri, Dr Dylan Turner and Nurse Lorraine, and the wonderful Team at Nazareth House.
Requiescat in Pace.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated at Nazareth Chapel, 220 Brougham Street, on Monday, September 22 at 1.30pm.

Our thoughts and prayers to the Hoban family. Rosalene was a visitor to our family home (Agnes and Rex McArley) over many years with Mum always grateful for that cousin connection. RIP Loretta (McArley) & Phil Love
