Thelma EGGELING Obituary

9.12.1946 – 20.11.2025

In her 79th year. Loved and cherished wife of Roger, loving mother and mother-in-law of Philip and Monique, Yvonne and Mark, Sheryl and Peter, Neroli and Gareth. Precious nanny of Olivia and Lochilann, Liam, Aldous, Viane, Shay and Taya. Adored sister of Trevor, Gloria, Robert (dec), Peter and Karen. Aunty and great-aunty to many. A wonderful friend and companion to all who knew her. Our hearts are broken. We will miss our special angel. The family would like to greatly thank all of the special people who cared and looked after Thelma; Dr Joseph Hassen from St Lukes Health Centre, Carol and the lovely nursing support and care from Te Piki Oranga; Brenda and all the loving staff from Nelson Tasman Hospice. To commemorate and celebrate Thelma: Rosary held at St Francis Catholic Church, 196 Songer Street, Stoke, at 5.00pm on Wednesday, November 26. Funeral also held at St Francis Catholic Church at 11.00am on Thursday, November 27. In lieu of flowers, all donations to Nelson Tasman Hospice would be gratefully appreciated. Those attending are welcome to wear a touch of purple as a tribute to Thelma's life.
