Catherine GRAYBURN Obituary

On September 11, 2025, passed away peacefully, at Bethesda Care Home, Bishopdale, aged 96 years. Much loved wife of the late Arthur, dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Murray and Philippa (Melbourne), Ian and Bronwyn (Sydney). Cherished grandmother to Matthew and Sarah, Richard, and Hannah Frankel, Elizabeth and Jordan Summerfield, great-grandmother to Chloe, and friend to many. Messages may be addressed to: The family of the late Merle Grayburn, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. A private cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Merle's life will be held in St James Church, 750 Harewood Road, Harewood, October 8, at 1.30pm, followed by afternoon tea.

Condolences on the passing of your mum. My mum, Monica, was a life long friend of your mum. If I remember rightly she was her bridesmaid, and godmother to Murray. Your mum obviously had her Mum's longevity genes. Ruby was also a great friend of my grandmother, Mary Dent. My Mum passed away six years ago. On behalf of Rosemary and Mark, please accept our sympathy.
