Terry WILSON Obituary

(Aged 89). Loving husband for 68 years to Earlene (nee Prince). Loved and respected father and father-in-law to Suze Wilson and Steve Harris, Stuart Wilson (dec), Sam and Nigel Anderson; granddad to David and Terri Wilson; great granddad to Freya Wilson; brother/brother-in-law to Norman (dec), and Peter Wilson (dec), Robin and Geraldine Wilson, and Ann Wilson. Loved uncle of his many nieces and nephews and their families. Co-founder of Wilson Bros sawmilling; founding member of NZ Veteran Car Club; former committee member of South Canterbury Vintage Car Club; inventor; and author of two books. A funeral to celebrate Terry's life will be held at Betts Funeral Services, 33 North Street, Timaru on Thursday, August 31 at 11.00am, followed by refreshments. A private cremation thereafter. Prior to the funeral, Terry can be visited by arrangement with Betts Funeral Services. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Croft Resthome would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Thanks to the caring staff at The Croft, Margaret Wilson Home, St John Ambulance and Timaru Hospital, who have looked after Terry in recent times.
