Terry was a very good mate of mine when he lived in Nelson and we both worked at Independent Casings.
We had lots of good family times together, bbqs, camping, swimming, a few beers, etc.
We got out of touch, unfortunately, when he moved to Christchurch.
A bloody good mate of mine back in the day.

To grandad
I didn´t get to meet you, Grandad, but I know you´re part of our family.
Dad says you were kind and brave
I wish I could have given you a hug.
Even though you´re not here, I carry a little bit of you with me.
I hope you´re watching over us, and I´ll always remember you.

In loving memory of Terry James
Though I never had the chance to meet you in person, your life and legacy touched mine in a profound way. My greatest connection to you was through your son, jamahl james, and the bond I was honored to help restore between you both.
While I may not know all the chapters of your story, I know you were a man who-despite the distances life created-left a lasting mark on your family. The moments of reconnection, however brief, were a testament to the enduring ties of love and forgiveness.
You are remembered by those whose lives you shaped, and though our time was never face-to-face, I am grateful for the role you played in bringing jamahl into this world and, in turn, into my life. May you rest in peace, knowing your memory lives on in the family you loved.

Though our paths were apart for many years i am greatful for the time we had to reconnect.Even though our reconnection was brief but meaningful I'm thankful for the chance to know you again.Terry you were my father and that bond however fragile mattered.
But a father is still a father i honor your place in my life.So may the peace you sought in life now be yours in eternity.
Rest in peace and love from ur son jamahl James..
