I first crossed paths with Terry as a 4th year medical student at Christchurch Hospital. He was a wonderful teacher and had a great manner with both his little patients and their carers.
My next interactions with Terry were at the old Christchurch Women's Hospital when anaesthetising for Caesarian Sections in the middle of the night. Terry would be called in to look after and sometimes resuscitate the newborn babies. Although it was all hours of the night and morning, and he had been dragged out of bed, he always appeared with his wonderful smile and cheerful sense of humour and proceeded to do a very skilled job of looking after the newly born babies-at times having to resuscitate them-undoubtedly saving some of them from brain damage or even worse.
A wonderful man, a true gentleman, who leaves behind a great legacy in many areas of child health.
My condolences to Anne and all his family-he will be very much missed.

My condolences to the Caseley Family. May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
From the age of one until I turned 14 years old, Dr. Caseley was my Paediatrician. I found him to be a caring and wonderful doctor.

Terry was a great New Zealander.
His leadership of IHC was. Outstanding and visionary. Trish Grant said how fortunate we were to have his wisdom and humour.
He upheld the process of normalisation so children and adults could lead satisfying lives within their communities.
Thank you Terry for your time and energy and fine leadership ,we all loved you.

Deepest sympathies to the family. A great man and a key part of the establishment of our Champion Centre as a important early supporter for Patricia Champion. It continues to this day as a lasting piece of his legacy. Kind regards
