Svend Erik (Erik):
On July 28, 2015, peacefully at home, following a short illness, aged 86 years. Much loved husband of Anne, loving father and father-in-law of Anne-Marie and Stephen, Sonja, and Nina, loving granddad of Stephanie; Laura-Ann, Michael; Matthew, Caleb, and Mason. Special thanks to all those who have provided wonderful care and support to Erik and his family during his illness. Messages may be addressed to The Family of the late Erik Jorgensen, c/- PO Box 39001, Christchurch 8545. The Service to celebrate Erik's life will be held in our Westpark Chapel, 467 Wairakei Road, Burnside, on Monday, August 3, at 10.00am, followed by interment in Avonhead Park Cemetery.

Early Tuesday morning my amazing grandad was taken from us, He was such a loving man who loved me even when I was a right little madam! He loved me no matter how grumpy, mad, mean or happy I was, He used to take me out all over Christchurch during the school holidays whilst mum was out working when my parent's divorced and they were both single and working out how things were to be... He loved me so much and I already miss Him..

We got 6 wonderful weeks with him that we in reality should not have had and for that I am grateful, I'm grateful that I got to spend those 3 days a week with him for 6 weeks, and that I got my time to say good-bye and I said good-bye to him on the Monday night before he passed during the night - knowing my leaving on the Monday he would probably pass without me.

I missed you before you left us grandad and I'll miss you for the rest of my life, You were there for me and the male figure in my life when I needed it and you walked me down the aisle at my wedding with my dad.
