Stuart SCOTT Obituary

Passed away at home on March 22, 2026, surrounded by family. Dearly beloved husband of Marama (née Reuben), greatly loved father of Kara and Jay (Canada), and Jake and Rana (Melbourne). Cherished Grandad of Joel and Aimee. Stu will be at his home, and visitors are welcome to pay their respects between 12pm – 5pm on Thursday 26, and Friday 27 March. Friends and family are welcome to attend the funeral service for Stu at Wai-mana, 92 Kippenberger Avenue, Rangiora, on Saturday, March 28, at 2.30pm, private cremation to follow. My condolences to Marama and family on Stu´s passing. I knew Stu well for the 10 years we served together at Linwood College. Stu was an outstanding HOD Science. Hard working, he lead by example and he created a strong Science team culture focused on teamwork as well as effective teaching and learning. His thoughtful, unflappable demeanour and great sense of humour endeared him to all. He was a key member of a very strong school faculty responsible for the transformation of the school during the period 2000 - 2010 and beyond. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace.
