The world just lost a really good bugger.
Stu thank you for EVERYTHING you did for me.
You really were "outstanding in your field" in every respect.

It seems just a heartbeat ago that I met Big Boy Stu on the mezzanine floor of the University of Canterbury library. He and Craig were debating an operations research problem. Stu and I became instant friends with a shared joy of antagonizing the wee boys. His work ethic and ability to simplify complex issues always amazed me - "what part of no don't you understand." Wee boys, big boys along with Keith became thick as thieves and we share so many wonderful memories. Stu was the most loyal friend one could have and my life was better and more shaped knowing that Stu was always there. RIP Big Boy - you were a tower of strength and will be incredibly missed. Love to Lynne, Laura and Alex, thinking of you.
