Stuart BOAG Obituary

BOAG, Stuart David James:
Passed away peacefully at home on April 25, 2023. Dearly beloved husband of Janet. Loving and loved father and father-in-law of Elizabeth and John, Katharine and Nick, Wilhelmina and Trevor, and James and Tayla. Adoring and adored Grampa of Chloe and Isla, and Archie and Ronnie. With grateful thanks to Mary Potter Hospice and the Community Cancer Nurse Team for their help and support in care of Stu. A memorial donation to Mary Potter Hospice (www.marypotter.org.nz) would be greatly appreciated. Messages and tributes can be placed in Stuart's tribute book at www.tributes.co.nz. Livestreaming details can also be found on the tributes website. Stuart's funeral service will be held at Old Saint Paul's, Mulgrave Street, Wellington, on Tuesday, May 2, at 11.00am, thereafter private cremation.

To Janet and family.
I was upset to hear of Stu's passing but thought how fitting it was that with his defence connections, that the day he chose to depart, was of course, Anzac day.
I remember the first time I met Stu and I introduced myself to him because the talk he gave left me wanting to hear more. He was knowledgeable, professional and the nicest guy. He was smart and sharp as a tack! I was lucky enough to work with him on MoD and NZDF capability branch acquisitions and always enjoyed our interactions and professional exchanges.
I have such lovely memories of our time away with "work" in Paris, and having a "royale with cheese" at McDonald's. Makes me smile to recall this. He will be missed.
