Message for Stu
Lynda here (Heather´s sister). I will try and keep this very brief. We only had the pleasure of meeting Stu on our short visits to the Gold Coast or NZ. So, we didn´t have the long or close relationship that most of you had. When I was at the Hospice I saw Stu´s family and friends.... lifetime friends and family all heartbroken together.
But from our first meeting Stu was always so warm, welcoming and so friendly and fun. He was a bit of a teaser and had a cheeky smile. We always so enjoyed our time together. And he was a great cook too!
I was so happy Heather and Stu had met and had forged such a lovely life together. He was so loved by Heather´s kids and grandkids. Of course, all of our family see Stu as our super hero, saving Heather´s life. When he told Mark and I about that incident, we could see that he had been so stressed, but was so determined ...he would not let her go.
I loved meting Stu´s parents (Marge and George). Stu´s dad and I share a passion for gardening and I was just so impressed. I have told so many people about what he achieves in such a small space.
And I feel so for Jamie, losing her beloved dad so early.
We last saw Stu fit and healthy last November. How could this happen? It is heart wrenching. We will miss you Stu, you have a place in our hearts, so you will never leave us.

Stu was a lovely man, a great neighbour, a fan of fresh plums and a great builder and rebuilder of his deck. He will be sadly missed over the fence.

To Stu´s family
My sincere condolence to everyone in his family. I felt so much love between Stu and Heather when I met them at the Hospice. I loved how they enjoy their date night at the hospice with takeaways and I couldn´t help myself to offer a love heart pancakes to them. I will always remember the beautiful couple. Thinking of you at the very sad time, Heather.

On Monday September 11, 2023, Stuart passed away peacefully at Nurse Maude Hospice. Dearly loved son of Marge and George, loved cousin of Sandy and Rozelle Flavell and a much loved uncle and great-uncle. We will meet again, don't know where, don't know when, but I know we will meet again some sunny day. Rest in peace son. Love Mum and Dad.
