We are devastated by your loss.
I have great memories of `Uncle´ Steve. I remember the Boxing Days spent at the Groynes with all our second cousins. Always remember Steve in his police uniform with that moustache of his. For someone who grew up watching Chips, Steve was the epitome of cool. Such a decent bloke as well.
Love from all of us.

Incredibly sad news which still seems unbelievable. Steve was a good friend to many, and I certainly cherished my time with him, not only after countless football seasons but also as an early mentor when we worked together. To Lynne and family I wish you strength and to cling onto the memories of a wonderful man.
Sincere condolences.

Dear Lynne, Josh, Hilary, Ben and family. My thoughts and love from afar are with you all right now. Steve is the loyalist of friends. He's been a friend and, well, like an older brother to me really. Like others, I have great memories running, biking, skydiving, being in awe of his golf game, playing footy and hanging out at your place for BBQ's, Xmas, parties etc. We were blessed to be a part of your family lives over the years. He always gave more to friends family and the community. In that sense, kua hinga he totara i te wao nui a Tane.
