It is with great sadness that Sue and Stacey announce the sudden passing of Steve whilst on holiday at Kaiteri Motor Camp. Steve was a cherished father to his Stace and a much loved and respected friend of Sue Sanford. Steve passed away on his favourite site, camping in his 37th year, surrounded by his many supportive and loyal friends. A very heartfelt thank you to Malcolm Rose and Mark also the emergency services who attended Steve and for their truly amazing efforts to assist Steve. After a tough year of illness, a brave soldier now at peace. Steve's presence will be dearly missed by all. No flowers by request. Messages may be addressed to the Sanford family, c/- 19 London St, Christchurch 8013. A Celebration of Steve's life will be held in the John Rhind Chapel, entry from London and Whitmore Sts, Richmond, Tomorrow (Thursday), at 1.00pm.

So sorry to hear of Steve's passing. It is a shock. He was a really lovely person. He was most certainly a wonderful help to his dad George. Love to all his family. Karene Reeves (Nana) it was his nickname for me. He carried it on when his dad called me that
